Gary joined Scott Jardine as Managing Director in 2006 after having worked in leadership and management positions with many blue chip organisations. He has managed and directed Human Resource activities and regularly been involved in people recruitment and selection.
He has been involved in people assessment, coaching and development for much of his career. He has successfully run a wide range of people training and development projects from the Shop Floor to Board Level including Six Sigma.
Gary was appointed Managing Director of Silvertown UK Ltd in 1999, a leading company in the supply of technical rubber products to a wide range of industries including rail, aerospace and defence, marine, engineering and construction. The Company had fully integrated manufacturing from compound formulation and production through to moulding and assembly. Gary led a management buy-out in 2001 backed by venture capitalists LDC. After increasing sales activity, improving operational effectiveness and building a successful management team, Gary led the exit to a trade buyer in December 2004 following four years of successful growth.
At Silvertown UK he led the Six Sigma business improvement project and later as UK Director of a leading consultancy was trained as a LeanSigma consultant.
Gary has been associated with John Mason and Scott Jardine for over 16 years as both a candidate and a client. With his experience of Business and Industry at the highest level he can provide the direction and coordination required to deliver difficult and complex projects for clients.
Gary has worked with senior managers and Directors providing coaching and personal support to enable them to achieve success and professional growth. He is a certified life coach and trained business coach.
Since becoming Managing Director of Scott Jardine, Gary has been undertaking coaching assignments for clients where Director or Senior Management performance and team work is crucial for future success, delivery of the Company strategy and business goals.
Gary has an MBA from Aston University and a BSc in Chemistry from the University of East Anglia. Gary was featured as a stimulating leader by the Manufacturing Foundation in 2005, in its research into developing manufacturing leadership skills.
Gary is a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute.
